Romeo sees what he thinks is Juliet lifless and cold. He professes his love for her and kisses her. Romeo says, "Come, bitter conduct, come, unsavory guide!/ Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on/ The dashing rocks thy seasick weary bark! Here's to my love (drinking)/ Oh true apothecary/
Now Romeo was suddenly in love with Juliet. After Romeo announced wanting the Friar to marry him and Juliet Friar Laurence exclaims, "O, she knew well./Thy love did read by rote, that could not spell./ But come, young waverer, come, go with me, In one respect I'll thy assistant be (II,iii.84 - 86).
Friar Laurence spoke,“ Juliet I am so sorry, but the plan did not go accordingly.” Juliet replied,“Friar how could this happen, you wicked man. I love him and now I have no hope to be with him, this is all your fault, Friar. I do not want to live without him as I know he did not want to live without me.” Friar was stunned,“I will not put up with this I told you it was a risk and you went the plan as I did, but I will not stand here and listen to you bicker.”
“O’ Romeo, O’ Romeo,” You have probably heard this line before. Did you know it’s from a play called “The Tradies of Romeo and Juliet”? The play “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare is interesting to me when the flat character, Mercutio, dies, also when the protagonist hides their marriage, which created a dramatic irony, one of my favorite scene consists of the monologue that the Friar had. The play has many fighting scenes in it, but my favorite was when Romeo’s friend Mercutio is killed.
Friar Lawrence was asked by Juliet to give her a spell of sleeping, she wanted to fake a death. Once Lawrence put her to sleep, his last job was to send word to Romeo that Juliet was dead. Friar Lawrence could not get the letters to send through, this made Romeo curious so he started to look for Juliet“I could not send it,-here it is again,-...”. Romeo was curious to find his soon to be wife so he went to search for Juliet.
Juliet, wanting to remain faithful to Romeo, goes to Friar Laurence to ask for help in avoiding the marriage. Friar Laurence agrees to help Juliet and tells her, “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, / And this distilling liquor drink thou off; / When presently through all thy veins shall run / A cold and drowsy humor; for no pulse / Shall keep his native progress, but surcease… In the meantime, against thou shalt awake, / Shall Romeo by my letters know our drift, / And hither shall he come, and he and I / Will watch thy waking, and that very night /
She calls Romeo her “poor lord,” which shows that she pities Romeo and yearns for him, which conveys that she wants to love him. By wanting an explanation from Romeo reveals her inner struggle because her mind can’t go against her heart’s true love. By saying, “But wherefore, villain, didst thou kill my cousin?” she suggests that she wants Romeo to give her a reason to make her believe in and be loyal to him without falter. While she speaks, Juliet switches the “villain” from Romeo to her cousin when she says, “that villain cousin would have kill’d my husband.”
The nurse(juliet 's) informs Romeo that Juliet is a Capulet and that bothered him a lot. Meanwhile Juliet was worried because Romeo was a Montague. That night Romeo climbed the garden wall into Juliet 's garden and Juliet was saying her thoughts out loud. Romeo and juliet were talking and she told him that he had to promise that he would be true to their love no matter what even if there families had issues. Juliet's nurse finds out Romeo is a Montague and so all Juliet can do about it is squall about that her only love sprung from her only hate. On the same night, Romeo comes to Juliet's balcony secretly. When Romeo calls to Juliet she replies with ,“what man art thou, thus bescreened in night, so stublest on my counsel”(2.2.52-53), clearly illustrating that she has no idea who is in the shadows. Then, when Romeo replies and announces it is him, Juliet says she knew it was Romeo, a clear lie. Juliet does not love Romeo, she doesn't even recognize his voice, it takes her a minute to figure out it must be Romeo.

In William Shakespeare’s timeless play Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers are faced with great adversity as they hide their romance from their feuding families. As author James Lane Allen once said, “Adversity does not build character, it reveals it”. Romeo, a Montague, struggles to hide his love for the Capulet daughter, Juliet, from his family and friends. The challenge of lying to his closest companions, and going against his family’s ways to secretly marry Juliet causes Romeo to act erratically and carelessly. Throughout Act 3 Scene One, Shakespeare exposes the lovestruck Romeo’s mercurial nature and impulsivity through his thoughtless actions.
Once in fair Verona, a bloody feud took the lives of two attractive young lovers and some of their family and friends. The Montague/Capulet feud will forever go down in literary history as an ingenious vehicle to embody fate and fortune. In Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare uses literary devices, such as foreshadowing, repetition, and symbolism, to show how the Montague/Capulet feud is a means by which the inevitability of fate functions and causes the bad fortune of the lovers. To start with, Shakespeare uses the prologue to foretell future events as a direct result of the feud.
