The essence of love Romeo And Juliet
Shakespeare illustrates the love between Romeo and Juliet as a beautiful play and how it consumes a person in time to come. The way love can make people do things is very evident in Romeo and Juliet. The characters in the play when love strikes did unexpected things like Friar Lawrence and his plan for Romeo and Juliet. Romeo tries to use love to win over Tylbalt and get them to stop fighting but it ends in the death of his friend Romeo then kills him and gets exiled and does not care because he did it to revenge his friend. In the play, Juliet quotes, “What if it is a poison, which the friar subtly hath ministered to have me dead” (4.3.25-26) she drinks this drink from Friar Lawrence with the chance it might kill her just for love. She is consumed by the goal of being with her lover and in the end, it does not work. Romeo also says, “for fear of that I will stay with thee, and never from this palace of dim light depart again” (5.3.115-117). This is saying that he can not leave her dead that he must be with her forever and he kills himself by her lifeless body. The love pushes him to take his life because he believes it will let him be with her in the afterlife
