In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet finds herself in difficult situations as she develops into a more impulsive and complex character. Throughout the play, the nurse provides her comfort and ultimately helps her through her struggles. By writing this into the play, Shakespeare implies that everyone needs someone to turn to when they are in difficult situations. By reading this it is obviously exemplified that Juliet is terrified in this situation because not only is she married to Romeo, but her father has threatened to kick her out if she does not follow through with what he wanted. And after her father leaves, when she tries to go to her mother for comfort, thinking that she will return some sympathy or a way to get her out of this. But her mother goes along with what her father says and just leaves her there helpless. The nurse immediately comes to her aid, even though she tried to tell some sense to Lord Capulet earlier and got turned down and degraded for it, saying that everything will be okay. Although she does say something that Juliet does not like to hear, that she should maybe marry Paris to make her family happy, she is still providing comfort for Juliet in this situation. This is a way that shows how people need someone to turn to in difficult situations because arguably people would agree that this is a traumatic situation for someone to be in, and if a person does not have someone that they can trust and go to for condolences and help like Juliet did, the person would feel distraught, depressed, and many more emotions that they would not let out and this could lead to a person harming
