II. Comparison and Contrast: These two literary pieces are one of the saddest love stories in literature. In most romances, their love bloomed slowly and their love was truly above all and became the purpose of their lives, loving each other till their last breath. These two literary pieces are one of the best stories that I’d ever read, and it was so wonderful and breathtaking, reading this gave me a thrill of suspense, while thinking how to compare and contrast between the two literary pieces, the common is that both are all about love and tragedy. Romeo and Juliet is forbidden to fall in love because of their family having an ongoing feud, and had a love at first sight, they are expressing their love secretly and privately for their family
Shakespeare uses both romantic and identity crushes to show that parents should take teenage crushes seriously by providing examples of stories and lessons he put together into his plays. For example, One of his many famous plays he has created that is a great example of both romantic and identity crushes is Romeo and Juliet. A romantic crushes is formed by finding someone whom they find powerfully attractive; moreover, someone who they feel excited to be around, and with whom they want to spend a lot of time. Parents most often know not to take these romantic crushes serious because they know sooner or later their children will outgrow these crushes and move onto the next crush: “Most romantic crushes don’t last very long because once the
Have you ever been in love? In the play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare the two families, the Montagues and Capulets, have been in a feud for generations. Romeo, a Montague, at first glance falls in love with Juliet, a Capulet. These two star-crossed lovers fall in love, marry, and die all within a very short period of time. It is because of their death that the two families finally end their feud and agree to live together, harmoniously.
Overall the reasoning behind the text is to portray how people are worried for Romeo’s love choices, therefore many people are trying their hardest to get this lovesick teen back to reality, as in portrayed in this specific text. In the text Friar who is trying his best to give advice to Romeo states “Holy Saint Francis, what a change is here! Is Rosaline, whom thou didst love so dear, So soon forsaken?” He states how he had given up so quickly on Rosaline, and now he is ready for a new love, it can be determined that Friar was just questioning if the boy can even comprehend love.

The mysterious and complex nature of love that had been written down and well documented goes far beyond the interpretation of mankind. Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet” & Bacon’s “ Of Love” dig deeper into implications one inadvertently receives as a consequence of love. Romeo & Juliet are perfect examples of Bacon’s ideology on love due to them being ignorant of others opinions & making unwise decisions as a result of their love. Bacon's principles of love making people unwise apply to Romeo & Juliet’s recalcitrant love.
Love can be considered a beautiful life long journey to many, but love can also have fatal consequences. One may fall in love so deeply that they cannot even fathom life without that person in it as did Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. According to Joshua Cabucos, “Love has an impulsive tendency to override rational thinking which often has negative consequences. Breathtakingly beautiful, captivating, stunning and innocent are words to describe Juliet Capulet.
Juliet says, “My only love, sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me, that I must love a loathed enemy,” (1.5.136-140), after realizing she has fallen in love with Romeo, a Montague. The feuding of their families does not allow Romeo and Juliet to be with one another, but in the end, their love is what eventually brings the feuding to end. In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the nature of Romeo and Juliet’s love is what leads to a paradigm changing tragedy.

During their time together, they completely put all things aside and forget everything about the world except for their love for one another. Most people seem to think this way about the romance between Romeo and Juliet, but in reality, they aren’t actually truly in love. The play Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, is viewed as a tragedy which it was intended to be exactly that but also a love story. With this said, this play is a tragedy but definitely not a love story. Romeo and Juliet simply did not love one another for they had only known each other for less than a week, it is impossible for love to form in this short of time. Though, in this play Romeo and Juliet would swear up and down that their love for one another was so pure and true, that they were the ones for each other. There was no love in this relationship, but rather idiocy and lust and maybe even the want for love, but no actual love.
