Friar Lawrence was very lazy and wasn’t precautious about his plan. Friar didn’t tell Balthasar about the new plan he came up with. It would have been logical to tell him because he already knew about the secret marriage of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Lawrence said, “Unhappy fortune! by my brotherhood,The letter was not nice but full of charge Of dear import, and the neglecting it May do much danger.” This is Friar Lawrence talking to Friar John about not delivering the letter. Friar Lawrence in that quote expresses being surprised and concerned about this because he realizes that he wasn’t cautious enough and that something could go wrong. Balthasar then told Romeo that Juliet was dead. This leads to Romeo going to the tomb where Juliet lays. Romeo then sees Juliet laying in the tomb and he thinks she is dead so he sees no point in living anymore. Romeo then drinks the poison he bought from the Apothecary and drops dead on the floor. Juliet wakes up minutes later and sees Romeo next to her dead. She thinks there’s no other way out so she tries drinking the poison out of the bottle Romeo had but there is none in it so she tries to such the poison out of his mouth. She ends up getting no poison from his mouth so she uses the dagger to stab herself. She dies and falls right next to Romeo. This shows how Romeo and Juliet’s death leads back to Friar Lawrence because of his faulty plan.
