In Romeo and Juliet the play, one might ask their self “Who’s fault would it be when Romeo and Juliet pass away?”. Some may say that it is fate since fate was against them since the beginning. Or some may blame Lord and Lady Capulet when they forced to marry Juliet to Paris, and Lady Capulet says “Speak briefly, can you like of Paris’ love?” (DBQ project: Who’s to Blame? Document B).
The theme of fate being responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths in the play, Romeo and Juliet. Such as when Friar John was not able to enter Mantua, and transfer Friar Lawrence’s letter to Romeo. However, instances like this one are misleading, as the “star-crossed lovers” hold responsibility for their ultimate demise. Romeo and Juliet’s ultimate deaths were an inauspicious side effect of their own actions, rather than fate, because they were far too passionate, demonstrated suicidal tendencies long before their suicides, and made very brash decisions. Romeo and Juliet’s passion for one another was a component that led to their final moments.
“The blame Game” If i would have to pick any character in the book who caused all the problems i would have to say it was Romeo. I’m saying it’s romeo because he kept the marriage between him and juliet a secret, he killed tybalt, and he was very hasty. Friar laurence was responsible for marrying Romeo and Juliet. The nurse and them three was the only one’s that knew about it. If they wouldn’t have never kept the marriage a secret the prince wouldn’t have Romeo banned from the town and Romeo and Juliet could’ve lived happily ever after.
There are many people to blame for the deaths of the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet; they all had something to do with the sad tragic outcome. Romeo is the one to blame for Juliet’s death and his own. It all started when Romeo decided to attend the masquerade ball at the Capulet’s. At the ball Tybalt recognizes Romeo and is furious, this makes him want to fight Romeo.
Around 1594 Shakespeare wrote the romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. This story has an intricate plot line; the two lovers prevail from rivaling families, after falling in love they marry and intend to run away to live together. From thereafter a series of actions taken by a number of the characters leads to their deaths. Despite the Nurse helping Juliet on numerous occasions, Friar Lawrence was at fault because he didn’t succeed in telling Romeo about the details of Juliet’s plan, created the plans that causes their deaths, and married the couple.
The Irresponsible Deaths of Romeo and Juliet There is always that one person that does not listen to anyone no matter if they are given good or bad advice. That one person always ends up on the wrong path. That is the same story as “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”, by William Shakespeare. Who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Is it Friar Laurence, Tybalt, or even Romeo himself?
Romeo and Juliet is one of William Shakespeare's best and most memorable plays with two lovers experiencing troubles to be together. Yet, controversies in the play still come into view. One of those controversies is who is to blame for the tragedy but so many people in this play could be potential people of interest. Tybalt and Mercutio started the tragedy with Tybalt killing Mercutio and eventually ending with Tybalt dying due to Romeo’s desire to get revenge. However, the occurrence of the fight was due to the hatred between the households which could leave that possibly at blame.
In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, a play set in the fourteenth century, two young lovers experience the fluctuations of love as they fend off all the obstacles that their families and friends create. Friar Laurence plays a part in their deaths due to his lack of urgency and his inconsiderate decisions. The Nurse is also responsible for their deaths because of her betrayal and her dishonesty. Finally, Capulet is also responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths because of his selfish and ignorant actions. The irresponsible actions of Capulet, Friar Laurence, and the Nurse lead to the tragic suicide of Romeo and Juliet.
The Capulets and Montagues were not on good terms with each other. Unfortunately though, Romeo and Juliet fell in love with each other regardless if they are from opposing families. Because of these families bad relationship, Romeo and Juliet were forced to marry in secret instead of publicizing it. These two lovers could have been straight-forward to their parents about their marriage, but they choose not to. The Friar is also guilty to these lovers death, but he only thought that this relationship between Romeo and Juliet be the cure to their families grudge for each other.
“For never was a story of more woe / Than this of Juliet and her Romeo” (Shakespeare, Act 5, Scene 3, Lines 325-326). These are the famous last lines of Shakespeare’s timeless play, “Romeo and Juliet.” The story follows two teenagers, young and in love, and shows play-watchers what the power of love can drive people to do. In the play, both Romeo and Juliet take their own lives; they cannot be together, but they cannot be without each other. After reading this beautiful tragedy, one of the questions on the forefront of readers’ minds is: Should Romeo and Juliet be held accountable for their actions?
The death of the two star-crossed lovers is often mistaken for a choice that they made on their own. Even though Romeo and Juliet took their lives on their own will, fate and the long lasting family feud is to blame for the tragic death of the two star-crossed lovers. The major falling-out of Romeo and Juliet was all caused by the long lasting family feud and also fate. Most people, that read the story or only hear of the story, are led to believe that their deaths are their fault, and no one else had a part in it since they took their own lives.
The aroma of the boiling potatoes fills the tile floored kitchen. The middle aged woman lifts the wooden spoon and tastes the boring, steaming concoction. Searching through the cabinet, she viciously seeks out for salt to add to the dish. As she hears knocks on the front door she slams the cabinet door closed in frustration. She hates being interrupted while she cooks, it is her great escape from all of the world’s corruption and stress.
In the world that we live in today, there are many things that we face daily. Whether it be illness, love or just bad decisions, everybody encounters them and many more. Rash decisions are made on a very common basis among people. A lot of stuff affect the decisions you make. May it be, being too young and not having enough experience to make good decisions, or just the lack of care of the outcome.
The lovers were destined to fall in love and die, and they were of houses that had been cursed by a dying Mercutio. The hurried time span of the story forced all of the events to happen much too quickly for the characters to be able to make reasonable decisions. The numerous times the characters were put into coincidental situations led to a series of events that concluded with the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. For all of these reasons, the blame of who caused the deaths of the star-crossed Romeo and Juliet can be put on no one other than Fate. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is another reminder of the fact that we are all powerless to Fate when the courses of our lives have been
Was it fate or free will that killed Romeo and Juliet? In the prologue of this play, Shakespeare refers to Romeo and Juliet as “A pair of star-cross'd lovers.” Star crossed lovers are people whose love is destined to end in tragedy. Free will is when people are able to make their own decisions and have consequences based off their decisions instead of predetermined consequences. Fate was definitely the reason for Romeo and Juliet’s tragic deaths because of the unexplainable coincidences, uncharacterized choices, and conscious decisions that all lead to the same inescapable outcome.
