Who was Ronald Reagan? Mark W. Lipe, Jr., a family member, was Ronald Reagan’s bodyguard in 1988. That was why he was an interesting choice. Some may not like Ronald Reagan very much because of his actions as President. However, Ronald Reagan would be interesting to some because of his childhood, his education, his acting career before he became President, what he did while he was President, as well as his later years after leaving the White House. Ronald Wilson Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois. His parents were Edward “Jack” Reagan and Nelle Wilson. Ronald had an older brother named Neil, who was two years old when Ronald was born. The Reagan family lived in a small one bedroom apartment above a bank. His father had a severe drinking problem.
