I chose this particular site because history.com is always reliable and it has trustworthy information and sources. The site also includes helpful pictures and a video for my better understanding. Also this website is nice because it is broken up into pieces in chronological order which makes it easier to comprehend. I would have never thought that someone who was our President would be involved in something so extravagant. I have heard he was a humorous man, so perhaps he wanted to pursue his comedy in a way of acting. Another thing that captivated my attention was that Reagan was almost killed by John Hinckley Jr. in 1981. I read that he was hit with a bullet almost right near his heart, but he came back just a few weeks later to his position. Lastly, something I found fascinating was that Reagan won the 1984 presidential election by the largest number of votes ever in American presidential history. He carried out 49 out of 50 states in the election and received 525 out of 538 electoral votes- a mind boggling victory. The most interesting person I read about in my reading was, of course, Ronald Reagan. In a way, he reminds me of myself. He was humorous and he would use it, just as I like to believe I do. He was also so popular when he was President, but that is not like me. He was actually a wonderful president who did a myriad of things for his country.
