After World War two had ended both the United States and the Soviet Union, also known as the USSR, had become reigning countries in the world. While both held great power it also caused chaos leading to extreme rivalry and the Cold War. Since this rivalry between these two nations was foreign is caused a great deal of effect on the United States foreign policy however it also deeply damaged the United States domestic policy through the fear of potential attacks of atomic bombs, the changes in the U.S defense budget, and the constant fear of the spread of communism within the nation. For example in Document number 5, an image shows a man building a bomb shelter near his home during 1951.
Although the United States and the Soviet's relationship had been strained before the war. During World War II, they collectively became allies when Hitler broke the Non-Aggression Pact. This was unlikely for the two countries because (refer to the issues they had prior to WWII). Even though this occurred they stayed allies through WWII until Stalin wanted a Western Front. The Cold War had quite a few causes, the USA refused recognition to the USSR, Soviet Union being unhappy, and western democracies had been hostile to the idea of communitist. One of the causes which was most important to me was US refusing recognition to the USSR.

Then you must come up with any reason possible to make it justified, but sometimes not everything can be justified. For example, a person murdering a random person they have never met before and do not know, can’t be justified. Yet, in the 1950s, the U.S. thought it was believed that the only way to stop the spread of communism was to fight back against the potential formation of communist governments. When war broke out in Korea, it became a place for the United States to make a statement against communism on a global front joining with South Korea to combat the communist North.
In 1950, the Korean War started with the North Korean People’s Army crossing the 38th parallel- the border separating the two sides of the peninsula of Korea. This war lasted for three years and had no impact on the north’s want to take over South Korea, but instead resulted in the unnecessary death of 2.5 million civilians and soldiers. The goal of North Korea was to gain control over the entire peninsula making all of Korea have a communist government system. To the United States of America, this war was not one that only effected the peninsula alone, but would actually be the first step in creating a world made up of communists country. These documents are the “Korean War Telegrams” that was a series of telegrams that documented the interactions between the USSR mainly Stalin, North Korea mainly Mao Tse-Tung, and North Korea mainly Kim Il Sung, and “A Report to the President by the National Security Council” which was from the NSC to president Harry Truman about the Problems and possible solutions to Korea and there occupation in the south. The motivations of each superpower, which are the US and the USSR, was to have a united Korea without the conflict for it causing the next world war, but each superpower also wanted their own interest in Korea. Korean War is one of the well-known proxy wars in the period of Cold War. After World War II had been ended, Korean Peninsula was divided in half along the thirty-eighth parallel. That is North Korea and South Korea. North Korea, led by Kim Il Sung, was backed by the Soviet Union, the leader-state of the communist world while South Korea, led by Syunman Rhee, was supported by the United States, the leader-state of liberal democracy world. The war began after North Korea invaded South Korea, and had the tendency to seize all of South Korea.
This was the first step into stopping the spread of communism, the US decided to use military force in order to prevent the spread of communism. If the US didn’t intervene the Soviet Union would not stop until they controlled every place. The Korean War was not simple for the US to fight, it required a lot of time, patience, and lives. North Korea was well prepared, when it came to fighting, the soldiers were well trained, equipped, disciplined and ready to overcome any obstacles. South Korea on the other hand was the complete opposite, the soldiers were terrified and confused and did not want to fight the war, the soldiers wanted to leave at any available opportunity.

The Cold War was an ongoing state of political and military tension between the United States and the Soviet Union. This constant state of tension and fear had been embedded deep in the American public.
After World War II, a Cold war began between Mighty Nuclear Nations, but a small part of this war was taking place in Asia, due to the spread of Communism. North Korea and South Korea were fighting for control of the whole country. The North wanted Communism and was backed by Russia and the South Wanted Capitalism and was backed by the United States. For Several years the war was just minor skirmishes back and forth, but in 1950 North Korea launched a massive attack on South Korea. President Truman went to the UN Security Council and got them to authorize a “police action” against the invading North Koreans.
The cold war was characterized being a psychological war, sort of ideological or even statement. Mostly every conflict developed in this context were moved by political wills, and served by the intentions of politics and regimens, just like USA, USSR, China, Japan that implemented every type of manipulations, including mass media, and communications enterprises, using propaganda to fulfill their political intentions. This sinister war between ideologies, in the first side the capitalist, commanded by USA and almost every part of the world, on the other hand the “red vision”, the “commies” called properly as the Communists ideology adopted by the USSR, this ideology reached Korea as well, where in the beginning of this conflict the leaders
