Tell of a conflict that you recently encountered. It could be a conflict at work, in the news, or one involving a personal relationship. After explaining the conflict, choose one of the four presented critical analysis tools from this week, and analyze the situation using the tool. I recently requested a report from a business intelligence team to pull an alumni listing of donors of our university from our databases. However, the report hasn’t been completed on time. In addition, the report that I received contains some incorrect data and records. At the first place, I’m totally unsatisfied with the work that our business intelligence team did with my report, which somehow delays my work process and makes work inefficient. In order to look deeper to figure out what's causing the problem as well as to fix the underlying systems and processes so that it goes away for good, I use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) technique to helps me answer the question of why the problem occurred in the first place (Wilson, Dell and Anderson, 1993).
