“Rose...Rose...Rose…” jolting awake, with my throat parched, a wave of panic courses through my veins, sending shivers down my spine, Goosebumps emerge all over my body, and I feel the prickle of cold sweat, slowly trickling down my forehead at the sound of Bella’s voice calling out to me. As I try to open my eyes to look around, the sun's rays deprive me of sight; I try to raise my hands as a shield only to realize they are tied back. I scream Bella’s name, only to have it come out as a muffled whimper. Hot tears fog my vision, and slowly stream down my face, abruptly making me feel feverish. Three months, it's been almost three months since the incident, since we’ve been separated. Is my sister safe? Did she manage to find help? Is she looking for me? These questions are the slight assurance that gives me hope, and strength to fight. I must be strong, for Bella. …show more content…

She was so scared. Terra and denial evident in her eyes when I asked her to abandon me and find help. We both wept as we embraced, hoping it wasn't the last. Her eyes pleading with mine to change my mind, but we both knew what had to be done. Just a short while after Bella left they returned, realizing that Bella had fled, they knocked me out cold. I don’t know how long I was unconscious, but when I came to, a throbbing pain in the back of my head greeted me.
