D1: Evaluate the improvement to computer systems achieved through routine housekeeping procedures
The routine housekeeping procedures has positive effect in several way
Defragmenting a hard drive: this can arrange files so that when it is stored more sensibly it can then keep the file pieces together. So that it can decrease the time it takes. Sometimes it takes long to search for the data, by speeding up the whole process of opening the documents. So deleting brief files can increase the amount of storage space which is available to the user, this can help with the speed of the computer as there is less to search through when you are searching for a file.

Cleaning the computer and ensuring the ventilation is not blocked, this can increase the practical life of a computer, so if there is dust around the machine this can cause the components to overheat and stop working for long time. So preventing this can reduce the chance of lost data which is then caused by the failing components while using the machine. So you have to make sure that you can use the correct tools during the cleaning process as this will stop any damage from being caused, an example is a vacuum cleaner on computers this can cause the static which is then ruining a machine. For example if a printer runs out of paper or maybe ink the user wants to print they would try and replace it themselves, this is not a major issue it only needs paper, but if the ink runs out a non-technical user may not know how to open the machine and replace the cartridge. This will cause interruptions for the user, by reducing the general output. So replacing the ink before it runs out, and if you want to know how to do it they can go and watch videos and find out how to replace the ink which can save you time meaning not spending any money for an expert to do it for
