Rules are the main thing that separates humans from animals, and without them, we are no less savage than them. Additionally, rules are enforced to keep society in order. However, without the proper limits to what a person can do, society will soon turn to the dark side. An example of this happening is in William Golding's novel, Lord of the Flies, Where during the war, a group of british schoolboys get stranded on an island after a plane crash.
