In 1492 a man named Christopher Columbus sailed to our world and almost 200 years later America came to be. Throughout the years leading up to this revolution a lot of things had to happen. The American Revolution, French Revolution, and seventeenth-century English revolutions were similar in the aspects of governmental systems, influences from European philosophies and religion, and military forces. Alike in opposition, each revolution had a desire to revolt due to poor ruling monarchies and lack of progression. All their attempts to topple the monarch power were to establish a new governing system. While doing so, each revolution was influenced by the emerging philosophy of Europe, the Age of Enlightenment. The Age of Enlightenment brought to light on the importance of liberty and rights of common people.

After defeating the British and separating itself from their power during the revolutionary war, the people wanted a change. After years and years of being under the influence of the British, the people wanted their own form of government that they can personally call theirs. It was the first ever written constitution which was called the Articles of Confederation written by Continental Congress in 1777 as a way to suit the goal of Americans when they were fighting for freedom from the British monarchy. Events such as the Boston Tea Party, Stamp Act, and the Tea Act led to the increased tensions amongst the British and the Americans. In order to persuade the free blacks and slaves to fight for the American freedom, they offered them freedom from their masters’. However, it did not always have the slaves best interest at heart. The American Revolution was a major turning point in American society due to the political, social and economic reforms instigated after they gained their independence. During this time women and slaves experienced more freedom within society. Women were allowed to serve in war and many slaves were set free. Because the United States was a new nation who just gained independence, they were still struggling to pay back the war debt thus there were less economic reforms than social and political.

It also talks about the betterment of the Soviet Union because of the Great Purges and war communism finally being achieved. This source rejects liberalism because it is not stating the truth, but rather what the government allows the publishing agency of the textbook to say. There is no transparency towards the people by the government.

People died from injuries like burns, and radiation sickness.
