Essay 1 Isolated and decaying communities of today—with little to few internal resources—need to be replaced with the communities of tomorrow. The services and buildings of the neighborhood of the future will help create a strong, interdependent, and sustainable community that thrives and advances to meet the growing needs of the community. Some of the building and services that are needed to be include in the neighborhood of the future are a community center, a solar and wind power plant, and a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and the arts schools system, will help develop the community of tomorrow and create a thriving neighborhood of the future. and an art school system could provide a great education for the children of the community, allowing them to explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, math, or the arts. For instance, the different programs in the arts or S.T.E.M. could allow students to explore what they would choose to do in the future. What I mean by this is that students could choose to do robotics and photography and see that they like one activity over the other or like to do both activities. As a result the student is able to explore his or her interests, they could better plan what they would like do in life and how their interests affect them. In addition, a S.T.E.M. and an art school system can increase the educational standards students receive from their education. Furthermore, having this type of school system would allow the students to get classes in science, technology, engineering, math, or the arts, in which most counties in the country do not have in their school systems. As well as improving the educational standard for the school system compared to other school systems’ educational standards, the school system would give the students an advanced education from elementary to high school. As I have noted, having a S.T.E.M. and the arts school system could help students explore their interests and give students an advanced education, creating an advanced learning environment for students in the neighborhood of the future, this school
