A Navy SEAL is a special operations force in the United States Military. SEAL stands for Sea, Air, and Land Teams. The SEALs were founded around the 1940’s (exact date is unknown) but the roots trace back to WWII. In order to become a SEAL one has to go through grueling and what is often called “the toughest military training in the world” to become a member of this elite special operations force. But most actually start off in humble beginnings as new enlisters in the Navy.
