My past education and experience gives me a strong foundation in pursuing my goals. As an economics student at the University of Washington, the most valuable skills I received are critical thinking and problem analysis. The economics way of thinking can help me in decision-making. Living in the Seattle area for more than three years, I experienced a multi-cultural immersion and developed my problem-solving skills at higher level than many of my peers. Also, real-world experience through my internships at Bain, HSBC, and the ACE summer school, activity in the entrepreneur association, as well as traveling abroad, have helped me pursue my career goals.

Having twenty years history, the company presented so vulnerable when it faced with this insignificant change. In the last summer, I researched five major building material markets and store visited 30 stone companies to statistic the major local stone companies’ data about the change of production cost and profit model in three years. I found the whole stone industry suffered the growth of production cost and then moved to the suburban But only a few national chain stone company kept the profit in individual consumer. To gain a full understanding of the business environment, I grasped the industry status quo by attending industry seminars and stone industrial exhibition. After communicate with many experienced teams, I trust, in seeking large-scale projects, the company will use the bidding documents to present the company's resources and advantages. However, when faced with individual customers, the company relies on customer brand loyalty. I think that our company needs to shape brand perceptions and manage brand communication. The traditional marketing model for stone products is not conducive to the brand creation and promotion. Throughout the past industrial chain, most consumers only know real estate developers, but they don't know who is stone material supplier. The classes, such as Brand Communication Decisions and Brand Content in a Social World, appeal to me as they align with my interest. And elective classes, such as Digital, Social and Mobile Marketing and Customer Loyalty are also specifically tailored my goals. IMC is consumer-centric and data-driven in core and elective classes. It provides the marketing skills to tackle real marketing and communications challenges for brands. Medill’s IMC program also helps cultivate client-sponsored team projects, which I consider an exciting way to experience the challenges of worldwide marketing communications environments and to solve problems using strategies learned in class. Furthermore, after studying in the U.S., I realized the importance of networking as a part of student success.
