Have you ever thought about how similar Cassie Logan and Lillian Jean Simms are and how are the different? Just because they are two different people with different lives, they somehow have similarities, and obviously a lot of differences. This statement shows how people can have the same, and different, traits without even realizing or trying to be alike, or different, at all. Cassie Logan and Lillian Jean Simms have more than expected similarities. One is the fact that they are both short-tempered.
In the book 1984, the world is in a dull and hopeless state. The book follows Winston in this dull environment called Oceania. It’s not till he meets Julia that there is a spark in his life. Together they are happy and attempt to throw over the party. Something that neither could do alone.
Sarah Burke is the protagonist in the Sarah Burke series of novels written by Elizabeth Gunn the popular crime mystery novel author. Burke is a hardworking, ambitious, divorced police detective in Tucson, AZ that also doubles as the protector of Denny, her sister’s substance abusing young daughter. We are first introduced to Sarah in book one of the Sarah Burke series – Cool in Tucson. Despite only being recently promoted to detective Burke go-getter attitude tells her that the least she can do is take her boss’s job. Meanwhile, the proximity of Tucson to the Mexican border means that, it is a city that has to deal with typical border problems such as people smuggling and being used as a drug transit corridor.
Her family begins to get torn apart and she loses many friendships. She begins to notice the changes her family, her friends, and also herself. Julia is a shy girl who can’t stand up for herself. In chapter 5 she is getting bullied, but doesn’t do anything about it. “Without Hanna, I felt awkward being standing alone at the curb.”
In the camp there was an eleven year old girl named Rachel, who Sarah later on becomes good friends with. Rachel had a burning desire to escape and was able to convince Sarah to tag along. They both were able to safely escape with the help of one French policeman. The third most important event that occurred was when Sarah and Rachel came upon a farmhouse with an old couple living there. The man had offered to help the two girls, but they were both terrified, contemplating whether or not they could trust this old man.
Julia does truly love Winston. Throughout the work of the novel, she is drawn to Winston even though he is around 10-15 years older than she is; this is because she is drawn to his rebellious personality. “It was something in your face. I thought I’d take a chance.” She also shows her love by her carefully planned recklessness; she does the best she can to make sure their relationship stays a secret so that they won’t be caught and separated.
All adversity is dreadful, but depending on what you do about it, is what makes you amazing. Aimee Mullins and Bethany Hamilton are two marvelous girls who overcame some harsh misfortune, though dealing with similar adversities. While both Aimee and Bethany are similar because they both overcame the will to stop trying, they are different in the ways they react to their situations. Both Aimee Mullins and Bethany Hamilton are similar because they lost their limbs, but overcame the will to stop trying. In addition, Aimee Mullins got creative and with help from others, made something to help her out.

One of the most significant is the sympathy for others and the need to help them. Many of the characters in Sarah’s Key feel they need to ammend for the past, sometimes even when they had nothing to do with it. Julia feels the need to find out everything she can about Sarah and her family; she feels sorry for “being 45-years old and not knowing.” Edouard feels the need to financially help the Dufaure’s
Cathy Ames has been criticized because she is completely evil. It has expressed throughout the novel that Cathy is inhuman. She has no emotion, no feelings, and no good in her. Many state that she is a symbol for Satan or a witch, who is pawn of Satan. People go so far in declaring that she is one of these evil spirits because even from birth she was filled with extreme evil and darkness, lacking characteristic that make up a human.
Julia is a 16 year old girl who goes through a traumatic event and has to sort out what happened to her by herself. She and her friend, Liv, were running as practice for track which resulted in her being alone in the woods for two days. Now out of the woods, she had to find out why what occurred happened to her. Julia does not just find herself in the woods for two days for nothing. When running, her friend, Liv, gets pinned down by a man she does not know.
When African Americans were first brought to the United States, they brought the tradition of griots with them. They were the so-called keepers of history and storytellers who recounted the events and narratives of their people. When the Africans were taken from their homes and shipped off to America, they were stripped of their cultural literacies; they were not allowed to read or write in their native languages. Africans in America derived new ways to communicate and understand their new surroundings. African Americans were introduced to Christianity by their slave masters and were given Bibles.
Seth Panowitz In the novel Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, Sarah experiences events that no one should have to go through during their life. The novel takes place in 1942, when Sarah, a ten year old girl is taken from her home and placed in a concentration camp. We learn about the experiences that Sarah went through and how she escaped. 60 years later, Julia, a journalist learns about Sarah and tries to track her down after finding out that her family had a connection to her.
She weeps for the his death; but deeply inside she believes that he still alive . She manages to escape again but this time alone with a little help of a servant by breaking a narrow entrance through the wall and sneaking out during the night. This time, the Marquis and the Duke are too late to catch her. They spend the rest of the novel trying to catch Julia but in vain. Julia has to flee from a place to another to avoid capture.
