Survival triad is another are for assessment of family functioning. By assessing the relationships with all the individuals within the triad such as the father, mother, and child the therapist search for the quality of the family relationship. It is through the emotional bond between parent and child which established the connection. Through the survival triad assessment, the therapist identified the parent’s different connection level with the child.
