In writing this satirical piece, I wanted to bring to awareness the topic of healthcare in America and it’s various falsely made claims and irregularities. In the first paragraph, the example I first use is Trump’s lack of knowledge and maturity to the hard process of healthcare. If he believed healthcare was going to be a slam-dunk, then that shows how little he knows about the health care system and process that goes along with it. I poke at President Trump’s naïve outlook on the healthcare system to show that our leader is not capable of handling healthcare on his own, and is not keeping the promises he made prior to becoming President on healthcare itself. In addition to this, throughout the next two paragraphs I go in more detail about the previous administration’s healthcare system, ObamaCare. In the second paragraph on the third page I sue satire by stating, “Not only do mom and dad have to go buy insurance for themselves but also, Sally and Jimmy who are still in elementary school. In addition to that, their older boy, Bobby who is 23, will also need insurance. Bobby is in his 5th year of college, studying to be a Fermentation Scientist (beer brewer). Bobby spends most of his days and evenings “tasting” beers and has end up in the E.R. for various different reasons.” This was used to set up a storyline to explain how the healthcare system would work if Congress and the President were to cut employee insurance. I use this satire piece to exaggerate how young kids or young adults would have to acquire health insurance on their own, no matter the age, due to no employee insurance
