Anxiety disorders are a group of mental disorders that characterized by significant feelings of fear and anxiety. These feelings could cause physical symptoms, such as shakiness and a fast heart rate. There are number of anxiety disorders and the anxiety disorder that Jane could develop in the incident is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD).
PTSD is an anxiety disorder that Jane developed after experienced nearly got abducted while she was walking home from work. PTSD is an anxiety disorder which could develop after experiencing or witnessing stress or trauma outside the range of normal human experience. The reason why Jane could develop PTSD is she didn’t expect she would experience being tried to pull into a van while she was walking home from work and it happened on her. When individual experiences some trauma or stress which outside of his/her range of normal human experience would cause them to develop anxiety disorder as it has threatened their own safety. Perhaps, Jane will remember the situation of nearly got abducted when walking home from work forever and cause her …show more content…

Schemas developed based on the information that is provided by the life experiences and stored in memory. The brain will create and use the schemas as a reference when in the future the individual encounters with the same situation and it’s easier to navigate what to do the next. Every person has different life experiences and situation which could actually confuse Jane on what happened in the incident and the past on some details. For an example, if there is the same incident actually happen in her life she might mess up with the past memories and the incident just happened which she could remembering wrongly on some details such as actually only two men were trying to pull her into a van but she though there was three men as last time there was three men trying to kidnap
