Abstract This paper explores the history, services, and current financial state and risk factors of the leading trucking company Schneider National. This paper is based on research found online (internet) and through a biography on Schneider, Leap of Faith. The research conducted illustrates Schneider’s success and how they have maintained the relationships with their customers and employees while creating innovative ways to gain new business. Schneider National: Leading in the Trucking Industry Economic Development: History Schneider National was founded in 1935 by Al Schneider. The legacy and growth of the company began when Al Schneider sold his family car to purchase the company’s very first truck. Since the purchase of the first Schneider truck, the company has grown into the premier truckload, intermodal, and logistics companies in North America. Schneider has managed to stay competitive and successful by focusing on innovative ways to gain new business and maintain past and present relationships with customer and employees.
