It will not only be able to eliminate accidents prone to human error, but it lead to a greater amount of “free time” for individuals, and thus, higher rates of daily productivity. While the immediate implications of self driving cars might look bleak--with a surge of jobs lost and a couple of self driving car accidents-it is important to consider the long term impacts of self driving cars and their effects on the future. By increasing driver safety and driver productivity, our daily lives can improve, making us less prone to accidents and giving people plenty of extra time to finish certain tasks. This alone can even decrease traffic congestion caused by car related accidents. Gradually, when there is an increase of self driving cars on the road, we will able to see self driving cars at some point moving freely around the city. In fact, pretty soon, instead of cars belonging to people like us, one day, cars could only belong to the self driving car companies themselves. If we wanted a ride somewhere, we would have to call a self driving car to our house. Works
