Upon receiving the email from NHS, I saw that I was denied in the leadership area and that area only. I know myself better than anyone of the planet and I know I should be excepted into NHS. I meet the standard of leadership in the following ways. Throughout my middle-school and high-school career, I have been invited to Washington, D.C for leadership conferences and also have been invited and attended a leadership conference at the capitol building in Augusta,ME. I am a member of my school 's key club and plan to run for officer this next year. As a leader, I have three outstanding qualities, I am dedicated, have a sense of humour, and I am open. I try my hardest to attend at least one of the two as I am dedicated to other activities like sports, school clubs, and family events. As a captain of my basketball team and soon to be of the soccer team, I am responsible for organizing team events like brunches and dinners also team bonding activities. This past year, the my halldale basketball team had a team ice fishing trip and I organized the activity to take place at my house as it has a lake outback. At the leadership conference, I learned as a student that leaderships main goals are to make the decisions that benefit the majority no matter what people may think. Leadership requires time, effort, and many qualities.
