These skills are useful in situations where I, as Vice President, would need to temporarily take on the position of an absent officer. With strong mental reflexes, I will step into the position of said officer and complete it to the best of my ability; working to overcome possible obstacles, instead of abandoning the responsibility. Along with the previously listed qualities, I have also completed two semesters of Computer Skills and Applications at Mills Park Middle School. In these classes, I learned and achieved excellence in various programs found on Microsoft and Google Docs (Including, but not limited to, Excel and Sheets). Participating in multiple different extracurricular activities at Mills Park Middle School, I am particularly well-rounded and am therefore able to reach out to different branches of people.
Why are you interested in working for our company? I had to change my work habits to please the new manager. Another strength I have is that I am able to work well in different kind of situations and conditions. when needed I am able to
My strongest attribute is being able to work well in a team and taking lead if needs be. I am very confident in speaking, presenting and asking/answering questions in lectures.
One of my strengths is in creativity. I am person who excels greatly when I am able to be creative and have freedom to think outside the box. However, that can also become a weakness because for assignments that are more limited and structured I to find to be challenging. Another strength I have is being able to learn quickly from my previous mistakes. There are times where I mess up or do something wrong, but my plan is to put those failures to good use.
Leaders possess different strengths that allow them to succeed in their career or life. The Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment helped identify my top strengths and how to lead with my strengths in order to further develop them. My top five strengths were competition, positivity, winning others over (WOO), harmony, and achiever. Based on the meaning of each strength, I related to all them, however, I was surprised by some of them.
According to the StrengthsFinder survey, my top five signature strengths/themes are: Ideation, Adaptability, Deliberative, Activator, and Command (StrengthsFinder, 2015). Admittedly, the level of accuracy in which the survey was able to identify some of my traits was surprising. However, these are traits I have been aware of and developed over the years from childhood to present day, but have not had them in such a format that adds context. The survey results were right about me taking one day at a time – I do not worrying about things such as legacy, long term career goals, and what people think of me – Adaptability.
I was not at all surprised that my number one strength is winning others over because I love people. I love being around people whether they are strangers or friends and enjoy making conversation. In clinical, I am always excited to meet and talk to new people. Helping classmates with their patients is exciting to me because I am able to meet and talk to even more people throughout the day. I was surprised that one of my strengths was positivity.
Through recognizing these frameworks of Strengths, individuals can focus their time and energy on maximizing their potential and gaining positive fulfillment as well. Ultimately, people need the opportunity to utilize their strengths throughout their daily living. In fact, in the article The Six Essentials of Workplace Positivity, it is recognized that “the happiest, most successful people have the opportunity to use their strengths often.” Through recognizing, implementing, and valuing my own talents I will not only build self-fulfillment, but I will also have the opportunity to help others identify their strengths.
No one person is the same as another, we all interact, behave, think and feel differently, and I think this is what amazes me the most. One strength that is substantive to my career that I believe I have, is empathy. I have always had such an efficacious sense of empathy with the people around me.
Strengths Finder Reflection My top five strengths are adaptability, relator, maximizer, empathetic and strategic. It was not surprising to confirm my top five strengths because, in my work and social interactions, I find that I love relating with others and yearn to understand their situations and take them in that light. However, I am also a practical person who likes planning and looking at an issue from all perspectives. I, therefore, believe that I strike a balance as I am not rigid, neither am I too spontaneous, but most of all I try as much as possible to deal with a situation on its merit to maximize on positive outcomes.
To begin with, my top strength is positivity. According to Rath, “ You are generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in the situation” (Rath p141). I believe it is always important to be positive regardless of how bad a situation is. My job is to motivate others when they become pessimistic of a certain task. This strength is essential in both school and a career as neither a classmate or a co-worker wants to surround him or herself with negativity that makes for a long day.
My personal strengths is my ability to be innovative & creative, with open mind. These 3 things enable me to be a efficient & effective in my every way of life. Being open to new ideas is very fantastic ways. Compared to those of my peers with others in my life. Being open minded is very good way the adapt & grasp things easily in less time.
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
