Mass murderers and serial killers are nothing new to today’s society. We learn about them in TV shows, books, research papers, in our classes, etc. Psychologists have spent decades trying to uncover the truth behind these killers’ madness. Now that I’ve discussed the first factor of making a serial killer I will discuss the second factor, which is brain damage. In the Lord of the Flies, the boys face major problems on the island. They try to act civilized and have order, but with Jack and his group of hunters rebelling, this order slowly goes down the drain. To makes things worse, Jack begins to act cruel and evil to the boys and even the animals. This lead to facepainting which symbolizes savagery, the “Beastie” which eventually means the boy’s fear and cruelty, and the pigs head on the stick, which was the turning point of complete evil, and a sacrifice to the beastie, which means a whole lot more that it seems.
A serial killer can be defined as a person who commits a series of murders, often with no ostensible motive and typically following a characteristic, prognosticable comportment pattern. There are forms of serial killers predicated on the type of malefaction they commit are as follows: thrill seekers, mission-oriented, visionary killers, and power/control seekers. Thrill seekers are serial killers that visually perceive outsmarting the law as some scarcely regalement. They relish attention from the media and they additionally relish being pursued by the police.
When someone thinks of a serial killer, the first though is some homeless bozo out on the street, looking to kill off a young girl and take her money and possessions. They imagine them to be antisocial and awkward, with an obvious danger factor. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. Most serial killers would be impossible to tell apart from the everyday person. They are usually well dressed and eloquent, with an outstanding ability to charm anyone and everyone to their whim.
Cases that involve an unidentified serial killer can be hard if the law enforcement doesn’t understand the psychological mind of a serial killer. The psychological mind may seem confusing, but someone can look at smaller parts of becoming a serial killer to help better understand the situation as a whole. Each small area plays an important role in the psychological mind of a serial killer, and each area will have a different effect on that person. First, someone has to know and understand what a serial killer and a psychopath is. Although a serial killer may not be classified as a psychopath, they will still show the traits of one meaning it is important to understand both.
Is it the nature of their lives and their surroundings? Is it their family genes and the way they grew up with their family? Many serial killers are affected differently. They aren’t all driven by the same thing though. There is something in each serial killer that makes them different.

There are many different categories, and each tend to have different reason for why they choose to take the lives of others. The two main types of serial killers are organized and disorganized. From there, they can be broken down into even more specific categories, however, each category will usually fall under organized or disorganized.

Many serial killers were abused as kids, become antisocial, started practicing their future crimes with animal cruelty. I believe that sociality is the reason for serial killers.
