The development of the stalemate on the western front in November of 1914 was a result of multiple faults in the German Schlieffen plan and the French Plan XVII. the western front was developed toward the end of 1914 when Germany and France commence digging trenches, installing barbed wire boundaries, and introducing standing artillery. Introducing the western front created a stagnant war and thrusted forward the infamous stalemate. As Source A indicates ,the battle of the Marne had forced both Germany and France to dig trenches which created equal opposition.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” This command, given by Jesus’ in Mark 12:31, tells everybody love others just as much as themselves. David Malter, a very Christ-like character from The Chosen, by Chaim Potok, puts this command into practice. He exemplifies many of Jesus’ most valuable character-traits. Although Mr. Malter does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, he still follows many of his commands without even knowing it.

Elmer (Ph.D., Michigan State U.) who is director of the Ph.D. program in educational studies and is the G. W. Aldeen Chair of International Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. Elmer starts the book by saying that Servanthood can be a burden and challenging. It is so true because just encountering people anytime can be overwhelming, but to tackle them in another culture is even more stressful to many.

Inverted values for Victorian society in the Clough’s Latest Decalogue “The Latest Decalogue” (1862) by Arthur John Clough is an indirect criticism of the Victorian society, a satire, in which the values promoted are inverted, in order to emphasize the religious and social unrest. The context is also relevant in understanding the poem; this means that the Victorian Age was influenced by the revolutions, which came up with new ideas, new values such as freedom, social mobility, industrial and social development. The title of the poem is formed by an adjective (”the latest”) and a noun (”Decalogue”). Intertextuality comes up here, because Decalogue is another term for the Ten Commandments appearing the Bible in Exodus 20:2-17 and in Deuteronomy 5:6-21.
As I reflect on the past 15 months of attending CCU. I recall the excitement, and the overwhelming stress of having to work full time and attend online college. I was not sure that I could complete my degree at fifty years old. Because of being out of school for over 30 years. I was somewhat reluctant to give it a try.
It may be that it is in small and thoughtful gestures that we can change ingrained, thoughtless prejudice. In fact, after intervening in some teasing and being told, quite rightly, to mind my own business by both victims of my classmates’ careless fun, I hit upon a wonderful plan suitable to my character.
