World Wide there is a very big problem of human trafficking. One source says “It is estimated that 15,000 to 50,000 women/men including children are forced into sexual slavery in the United States every year.” (Deliver Fund) This number should be zero, people like Elizabeth Frazier and Hundreds of others have to go through sex trafficking. It is violating human rights and has led to many mental health issues for people who have to go through it, It can be tough to tell if it's happening to someone and perpetrators can cover it up very well. First off, the reason sex traffickers do what they do is primarily for money, sex trafficking is known to cause many mental health issues for anybody who is a victim of it. Thousands of people a year are sex trafficked, and one of them is Elizabeth Frazier, she was sex trafficked by her parents for money and they used her without consent for profit. They told her that she was “ special” and she could not tell anyone the things she had to do, Elizabeth also seemed to have a normal childhood to most people, she played sports with other kids, she was also going to therapy, the pediatrician, and she even got a physical for a soccer team and nothing seemed wrong, she had no inappropriate bruises, cuts, scars, or damage to her body due to sexual activity, this shows how good sex trafficking can be covered up. This evidence supports my thesis because in it I talk about how it can be really hard to tell if someone is being sex trafficked and the evidence I have talks about how hard it was for people to know Elizabeth Frazier was being sex trafficked.
