Cyberbullying Teenage cellphone use is at an all-time high right now as of May 2018, “Over 80% of teens use a cellphone regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying.” (Dosomething.org). In this day and age teenagers all over the world use cellphones as a primary source of entertainment. Although some use it so text their friends, many use it for games, apps, and social media. This article goes through the dangers that come with cellphone use. It goes over how to prevent cyber bullying, and how to notice if you are the bully or the victim. That means if you have a classroom at least 5-6 kids have experienced getting bullied online and that is a big problem, that’s 25 out of 100 kids. The way we prevent things like this is just being absent from social media as a whole. Many kids struggle with being absent from the internet because their friends use it. Cyberbullying has caused many tragic events of the years of increased reports. School shootings have played a role in these tragic events tremendously, “All the Jocks stand up” words from Dylan before the mass school shooting” (Selena). The way to prevent cyberbullying could just be abstinence from social media, than there is no way to be bullied through the internet, “In October 2015 David was getting negative comments on his Instagram post… he didn’t want to go to school he was afraid” (Susan).
