Most little girls are expected to be taught at a young age how to show love, affection, kindness, and peace. Kids can grow up in a world that can sometimes feel like a fairy tale, or so they thought. As these children start to get older they realize that happy endings are rare, and at almost any second they could get kidnapped, abused, bullied, neglected, and more. As little girls turn into adults they get pushed around more and more by men and their own society they live in. Eventually this can get into worse things and will completely change their life. Women should start speaking up and speaking out if anyone has ever shown violence or harm towards them. Because most women that have been sexually harassed have not known what to do and have let the problem just sit. This can cause it to potentially make it happen again because they didn’t do anything about it. 1 out of every 3 women in our world from the ages 18 to 34 have been a victim of harassment at their work, and 71% of those women did not try to get help by reporting the situation. About half of the women in the U.S.A. claim that they have been a victim of sexual harassment in a workplace. You have gone through extremely difficult times and are able to keep moving forward in life. No woman needs a man in her life to support her. Women work just as hard. Gloria Steinem once said “A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle.” If women stand up for themselves when being abused, harassed, or more they will be able to get better and most likely have the man who took advantage of them finally face the consequences.
