I argue that sexual sin is destructive with negative consequences for human flourishing and to one's relationship with God, spouse, family, and society. 1 Corinthians 6:9 views sex as a sacred and valuable act that should be within the boundaries of a committed married relationship, while condemning any sexual behavior that goes outside of those boundaries. Scripture treats sexual sins seriously because God desires our human flourishing, and sexual sin hinders human flourishing. Christopher Ash's "A Biblical View of Marriage" highlights the essence of marriage as a voluntary, God-given, sexual, and public social union between one man and one woman from different families, for the purpose of serving God. It goes against God's plan and purpose for marriage. It is disobeying His commands and rejecting His plan for our lives. Sexual sin's self-destructiveness separates us from God and keeps us from spiritual growth. It prevents us from fulfilling our God-given purpose. It also damages us and limits our ability to truly love people. Immorality, adultery and homosexuality is against what the Bible teaches.

Moreover, sexual sin is destructive to others. It damages relationships with family, friends, and spouses. Sexual sin breaks the trust that others have in us. It can lead to broken marriages and families, leaving a trail of emotional pain and trauma. Sexual sin destroys trust and mutual respect while damaging our ability to love and care for others fully. Sexual sin outside of marriage leads to the destruction of a healthy relationship, and it leaves us empty and unfulfilled.

Furthermore, sexual sin is destructive to society as a whole. Sexual sin undermines the family, which is the foundational unit of society. Strong, healthy families are essential for the well-being of communities and nations, and sexual sin undermines this vital institution. Sexual sin leads to the breakdown of families, creating instability, poverty, and other social problems.
