Max struggled in school Before Kevin helped him, because he thought he was dumb. Kevin was Max’s tutor and helped Max with his reading. He told Max that each word was a piece of a picture, while a sentence was the whole picture. This gave Max confidence in his own ability to be a better reader. Kevin also helped Max so he could stay in his regular classes.
He puts fear into the students so they don't end up like the students that got expelled for misbehaving in school. Following this scene, Mr. Clark has a speech to the teachers. He splits the teachers to seventy percent to the students who did not pass the basic skills test. The other thirty percent the passed the test. The next part of the trip was at El Museo del Barrio here my group was introduced to an exhibit that was a little more focused on art related to the Young Lords movement. I recall the display that left the biggest impression on me which was the symbol of the Young Lord group, 3 AK-47 rifle's painted purple. I found this symbol to be a very clever form of hidden transcript that showed the power of the movement in way that demands respect without openly appealing to violence. I remember being told that the AK-47 was picked as a symbol for the Young Lords due to how it was efficient and easy to use even for those unskilled with combat. Informal Observation The following observations were observed by me in M’s classroom. The time of the observations neared the end of the Pre-K school year. Observation 1 M colors the square boxes with crayons. He holds the crayon in a collect hand position. M colors the boxes carefully and stays inside the lines.
Disarmament is the act of withdrawing military forces and weapons for the sake of peace and prohibiting war. The League of Nations wanted all of the 60 countries that attended the 1932 Disarmament Conference at Geneva to stop aggression. Germany wanted the terms that restricted their armed forces size to be completely abolished. The main reason for the League's failure of disarmament was that both Germany and France would not be in agreement.
