I will be spending the 2016-17 academic year teaching Chemistry at James Irwin Charter High School. My responsibilities at James Irwin do not stop with teaching – I also manage the science department and am at the forefront of health and wellness efforts across all four James Irwin Charter campuses (not to mention all of the unwritten tasks of a teacher). In managing the science department, I collaborate in curriculum meetings, coordinate weekly lab inspections, support the success of my colleagues, and oversee all purchase orders. Working at James Irwin has taught me valuable workplace ediquette. The most practical example of that involves teamwork.

The news created confusion among members of the organization and stakeholders, they felt betrayed, due to the fact that they were told everything was fine, when in reality it wasn’t. The current search and seizure policy at Buena High school is that school authorities may search a student 's personal effects, locker and even automobile if they suspect that the student is in possession of unauthorized, stolen or illegal material. Some people would say that this policy is completely unconstitutional. Others might say that it is a necessary policy to ensure the safety of the students. How is reasonable cause to search a student ascertained by school officials? There are clearly limits to how far a student 's privacy rights go.

One of the challenges I faced was in freshman year when I decided to enroll in two high schools. I never adjusted to the fact that the half days at each school meant I would not be able to commit my time to either school. I believe I had a difficult time adjusting as I was not only balancing the academic rigor of Conard High School and dance school but, also the responsibilities that come with having a disabled father. The days were also fairly long, it was 6:00 am wake up to 6:00 pm when the bus dropped us off.
1. How might a small group of dedicated teachers embark on changing structures in schools? Identify the stakeholders the group would have to bring on board to effect change. I personally have tried this idea. A few years ago, everyone was complaining. I suggested that we ( a small group of approximately 18 employees) decide on a few objectives at a time for a particular amount of time.

As enormous as Duncanville is, there are many places in this high school that will leave behind precious and unforgettable memories. For someone that has spent their whole four years here, I’m pleased to say that I have enjoyed myself and strived to my fullest. I strived to my fullest but, I am not what you would call smart or popular. I’m just a student that attempts to make decent grades and get by. I wasn’t active in after school activities or events as much as I wanted to be.
My case study follows one student who is currently performing slightly below grade level in reading. I will refer to this student as “Jerry”. I had learn that it will take time to fit into a new location and feeling comfortable with it. Toro Middle School reminded me of my middle school days where students could act childish around one another to show how comfortable they are around one
