Apparently, Rocky is his nickname which he earned from the way his dad referred to him as a newborn ‘rock' to the visitors he brought over to see the child. The name stuck, and he carried it to over to football to reach the eyes of many people across the United States (O'Neil, 1975). From this perspective, rocky already hits to be the most courageous American owing to his nickname as a rock.
Rocky started to prove his courageous spirit when he joined the football team in high school as a defensive back as well as running back. He performed well enough to earn the all-state honors on offense more than twice together with the all-conference honors twice. He took his skills to Notre Dame where he drove his team to the national champion to win over the Irish in 1966. While still at such a young age, Rocky had already won several trophies and leading his school team to victory, thus proving how rocky is the most courageous American in United States
