What course would you recommend taking other than science course required by some of physician assistant schools? What is your role as a physician assistant in radiology?
How long have you thought of a job for when you grow up? If you want to be a doctor who works with x-rays and medicine then a radiologist is the best position for you. Radiologist is a magnificent choice for people who want to be a doctor but also like to take x-rays/ pictures because of the work tasks you need to complete and the training and education you need to get to earn this position. The field radiology is in is the medical field. Radiology is in the medical field because some of the main activities you do is take x-rays of people, diagnose diseases people have and breaks in their bones.
Going to the next level in education after high school, I want to pursue a career in diagnostic medical sonography. Not many schools offer this as a major degree. I would be going for an associates degree. I’m looking at Keiser University, Central Ohio Technical College, Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences for an education. There are two different diagnostic medical sonographer degrees.
There are different ways and needs of education to become a radiologic technician which include becoming certified, associates degree, and bachelor 's degree. To become Certified it may take one to two years. While in school to become certified they will teach you technical skills that are need at the entry level of becoming a Radiologic tech. When going to school for a associates degree which consists of two years of school that will supply you with the general education of coursework in science and communication. Typically you can receive your associate 's degree in a community college or at a technical school.

I am preparing for a career as a Medical Sonographer. In order to reach this goal, I have several steps that I have to complete to get there. In the below paragraphs I will discuss these steps. Along with how I think technological advances will affect my career and educational goals in both the near and distant future. Having a holistic foundation is essential in providing quality healthcare. My goal is to become a highly competent Occupational Therapist, specialized in the field of pediatrics. I have a strong undergraduate academic foundation that provides me with the confidence, skill and perseverance needed to sustain in professional school. I am also an individual that loves to be active and creative in many ways. In my spare time I love to do things such as cook, attend work out classes, attempt DIY projects and read interesting novels.
My short-term goal is to complete my bachelor’s degree. I want to do well in all my undergraduate courses and gain as much knowledge as I can. Another short-term goal is to get a job working with patients. I want to work with patients so that I can begin gaining experience with direct-patient care which is a requirement for PA school. My long-term goal is to apply to PA school.
With the shortage of Radiologists and with the expansion of radiology technology, the need for radiologist assistant has great increased in the past year. Radiologist Assistants are comparable to a physician’s assistant. Both of these jobs assist doctors in performing advance medicine. According to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, radiologist assistants are registered radiographers who have additional education and certification that qualifies them to serve as radiologist extenders (IN TEXT). The extra education allows a higher pay scale and qualified to perform more procedures.
My long term goals are to acquire my Doctorate of Nursing Practice after completing the Master of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner concentration program. I would use my advance practice license in a clinical setting and later give back and share my knowledge and expertise in an educator role. I enjoy educating others greatly; one of the most gratifying components of nursing. Meeting my short term and long term professional and academic goals would be highly rewarding. Now that I have my mind set on my aspirations, I hope to practice the qualities needed to be a triumphant dentist and dental surgeon. Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. For a long time now I could just envision myself in the blue scrub running out to the ambulance as the EMT rushed the patient into the hospital. And successfully collaborating with a team of people to save someone's life.
One of my goals is to graduate with honors. When completing my Bachelor’s Degree one of my goals would be to attend the Great Plains Convention. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree I would at that point pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Emporia State University.
