Public Colleges should have free tuition for students because it would benefit them in so many ways. If they were to help those students by giving them free tuition, it would significantly lower their student loans. Also, it could help students from dropping out of college and feeling worried about their debts before they even started their career. Having free tuition would benefit students so much that they wouldn't have to worry about their loan debts anymore. Like how Neal McCluskey said, “why should people who want to go to college get it paid for in part by people who pursue on-the-job training or other forms of a non college education?”(27). I agree with him because it is true of what he is stating since there are people who want to get a good career and there are people who just want to have it easy in life. Also, it would be nice for people who want to study and get a career because if they come from a poor background, it would help them not have to worry about paying back except for some loans. Some places from other parts of the world have tried this like Sweden and they have said “Students in this country have an average of $19,000 in student debt for living costs and other expenses in 2013, compared to the $24,800 in debt for US college students in the same year”(24).
