Introduction: On Christmas Island, dogs have been forbidden to set foot on the island and for a while now, people on the island have been debating about this topic. I powerfully believe that dogs should be able to set foot onto the island because they should have the same right and equality as cats. This island should be a place where dogs are allowed to live and recognise this island as their home. Dogs can benefit our island in many ways and some benefits include saving lives of humans, making our lives healthier, as well as helping us find our belongings.

Point/Argument One: To begin with, dogs have between 125 million to 300 million scent glands, whereas, humans have around five million scent glands. This means that dogs have around 1,000 to 10,000,000 times better sense compared to us humans.
