Many states have increased the age teens can begin to drive. I believe that the driving age should not be raised. When i was younger I could not wait to be 16 because that is usually the age many people receive their first car. Recently i have heard that due to safety concerns that many states have increased the age at which teens begin to drive. The age should not be raised because a young adult individual needs to gain experience, responsibility and freedom. . Many young adults have jobs to attend, they become more responsible by making sure that they are at work on time. Drivers are responsible for their own speed limit, they need to be clear of what speed they are traveling. An individual needs to be sure that they have plenty of gas to get them to their destination they are traveling. The driver is responsible for everyone in the vehicle that they are operating. Driving gives an individual more freedom. People may travel wherever and whenever they please. All i wanted when i was younger was to be able to visit friends whenever i wanted. Now that I am 16 and have a license I could not imagine not being able to use them. On a bad day i enjoy to take rides across the neighborhood to get personal problems off my mind.
