The legal age of driving should be raised. To start off, there are teen that can’t mentally and physically drive. Distracting objects such as cell phones, friends in the same vehicle, radio, and anything they can think of are all deadly when driving a 4,000 pound vehicle. Teens are most likely going to be involved in drugs and alcohol. All in all, the legal driving age should be raised for numerous reasons.
The driving age in Victoria for a provisional driver to obtain their provisional license should be lowered from 18 to 17. Every other state in Australia already has the age to get their P’s at 17 and in the northern territory it is at 16 and 9 months so why should Victorians be the ones that have to wait an extra year when every other state and territory has proved that it is safe and does not mean more accidents, countries such as the United States who have the age 17 have shown that the law is fine and safe and by lowering the age the it is bound to reduce drink driving accidents as teens are now exposed to one earlier than the other allowing them to get over that novelty stage of wanting to do both, thus creating less accidents. There are different views about the suitable age in which people can start to drive. While, in the most countries people aged 18 are allowed to drive, a certain section of nations argue that this age has to be increased, at least 25. Advocates of start driving in the age of 18 point out that teenagers reach perfect maturity in this age and have a capability to learn and experience new skills such as driving. This age would appear to be a prominent landmark in human life since they enter to different world, moving greatly from their families to the wider society…..
For example, teens with a licence can get a job more easily than those who don't. They can transport themselves there, and get shifts that fit their schedules. Many teens get jobs to help pay for tutoring and college. Also, 16-17 year olds with a licence can drive themselves to school. This makes it easier for parents who start work early and families that don't live close to a school.
Inexperience makes the numbers worse, as nearly 8,000 people are killed each year in crashes involving drivers younger than age 20. I think that every person should have to take a driver’s education course before getting their driver’s license. I don’t think that course should be a couple of week thing either.
Driving today is a major accomplishment, and many people use that license as a badge of honor. In today's society, people as young as sixteen are eligible to apply for a driver's license. But, is that necessarily a horrid thing. There are many people who attempt to rob adolescents of their ability to receive a license. I believe that sixteen year olds should be able to keep their driving privileges because you must learn at a young age, it teaches adolescents responsibility, and it makes it easier for teens to maintain a career.
I think the driving age should stay at the age of 16 because as you get older you have more experience driving. Every thing goes best when you start young because of all the practice you've had over the years. starting at 16 can can lead some teens to good cares like: NAS car, or driving for movies. I think the age of 16 is a good place to start, because its like they say know more about the job before the interview, so that way you have a better chance of getting the job. Safety still is a problem because 16 year olds are reckless as well so its a bigger chance that more people could be in danger young teens that are behind the wheel going fast and doing what ever else they do when there alone trying to be cool for who ever.
Driving at Sixteen Driving at 16 is a right of passage steeped in tradition. For decades, teens have received their driver 's licenses at 16. While some might say this is too young and seek to raise the minimum age to 18, generations of teens have successfully managed the responsibilities of driving. The minimum driving age of 16 should not be raised because it would increase transportation problems, keep teens from fulfilling responsibilities, and prevent oversight of new drivers.
As I think raising the driving age to 18 is a benefit with less harm.while not raising it will harm lives.therefore,it should be discussed. Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. Teens need to have their own experiences. Driving at sixteen is a great way for teens to indulge in experiences and start a more independent life. The driving age should not be raised because driving gives one freedom, driving allows teens to work, and driving teaches responsibility.
Most teenagers look forward to getting their license and permit to be able to get behind the wheel of a car and drive without parents. The problem with this is many teenagers take advantage of that privilege and become reckless drivers. The government has put laws in place which prevents teenagers from driving alone for the first year and keeps laws in place so teenagers can’t abuse there laws. Meanwhile, many adults still argue the safety on the road even with restrictions in place. These laws are here to keep everyone on the road safe not only the new drivers.
