The legal age of driving should be raised. To start off, there are teen that can’t mentally and physically drive. Distracting objects such as cell phones, friends in the same vehicle, radio, and anything they can think of are all deadly when driving a 4,000 pound vehicle. Teens are most likely going to be involved in drugs and alcohol. All in all, the legal driving age should be raised for numerous reasons.
Similar to the USA, At the age of 16, a teen can be able to start learning to drive and 6 months later, if enough driving hours are filled out, they can receive their permit. With a permit, they must be driving with someone who is over 18 with a full driving license. If however, that teen is in a situation where they might need to get their driving license early, at about 14 or 15, They are allowed to fill out a special form, in order to get their driving license at an earlier time. This form will evaluate their family situation and the reasons as to why they might need their license to be established early. A person may not drive under the influence.
Punishing all of the American citizens by the MLDA being raised to 21 is not the right way to go about and promote safe driving. The United States is not the worst place for drunk driving incidents; in fact, it is one of the lowest. According to Niall McCarthy there are more dangerous roads than that of the U.S., “58% on South Africa’s roads can be attributed to alcohol consumption… In the United States, 31% of all road accidents… In the United Kingdom and Germany, road deaths involving alcohol consumption are rarer at 16 % and 9 % respectively,” (McCarthy).
In the 1960s and 1970s there may have been an increased number of alcohol related car accidents but if the minimum legal drinking age was lowered today, there is a thing called uber where people won’t have to drink and drive, they can just order a ride home. If anything, the age to drive should be
I think the driving age should stay at 16 because that is the age teenagers can get a job, teenage years are when friendships are very important to build, and parents are not always available to do all of the driving. Sixteen is the age that a teenager can get a job. At that age, getting a job is very important for a teenager because it teaches responsibility. However, parents also work and are not always able to drive their
Why should we even have to be a certain age to be able to drive? Some people think no one under the age of 18 should be able to drive. If no one under the age 18 were able to drive then so many kids would be staying home bored annoying their parents and eating all the food in the house, and getting out of shape. So many kids have been happier because there able to get out of the house and do stuff.
I think the driving age should stay at the age of 16 because as you get older you have more experience driving. Every thing goes best when you start young because of all the practice you've had over the years. starting at 16 can can lead some teens to good cares like: NAS car, or driving for movies. I think the age of 16 is a good place to start, because its like they say know more about the job before the interview, so that way you have a better chance of getting the job. Safety still is a problem because 16 year olds are reckless as well so its a bigger chance that more people could be in danger young teens that are behind the wheel going fast and doing what ever else they do when there alone trying to be cool for who ever.
The driving age should not be raised because some 18-year-olds are worse drivers than 16-year-olds. Recently, crashes for 16-year-olds have been decreasing, while crashes for 18-year-olds are increasing. Why? People are waiting until 18 to get a license so they can skip Driver’s Ed. Although the 18-year-olds still have to take a written test, they are less experienced when they get their licenses.
Increasing the age to obtain a license would also make our streets safer, since most people would properly learn how to drive in their years leading up to getting their driver’s license. I believe the appropriate age to start
Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. Teens need to have their own experiences. Driving at sixteen is a great way for teens to indulge in experiences and start a more independent life. The driving age should not be raised because driving gives one freedom, driving allows teens to work, and driving teaches responsibility.
Driving at Sixteen Driving at 16 is a right of passage steeped in tradition. For decades, teens have received their driver 's licenses at 16. While some might say this is too young and seek to raise the minimum age to 18, generations of teens have successfully managed the responsibilities of driving. The minimum driving age of 16 should not be raised because it would increase transportation problems, keep teens from fulfilling responsibilities, and prevent oversight of new drivers.
Should the Driving Age Be Raised to 18? I take the position that the driving age should not be raised to 18. Many people believe that 16 year olds are too young to drive. However, many 16 to 17 year olds and their families disagree. Teens enjoy their freedom, and not all teens are stereotypically “wild” or “out of hand” on the road.
As I think raising the driving age to 18 is a benefit with less harm.while not raising it will harm lives.therefore,it should be discussed. Futhermore, traffic accidents is affecting the lives of the future generation. I think raising the driving age to 18 plays a part in preventing massive car crashes. As its being found that the underage drivers are more likely to go into car accidents than adults ' 'Those who favor raising the driving age say that statistics show teenagers are more likely to get into accidents than adults ' '.(Palicz).I assume if we raise driving age to 18 such incidents will decrease. I also believe adults are more prepared for driving than underage
Raising the Minimum Driving Age in the United States as a National Standard Motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among teenagers in the United States of America. Teenagers have a higher number of fatal and non-fatal accident rates than any other group of drivers. Statistics show that fatal car crash rates for 16 to 17 year olds is two times higher than 18 to 19 year olds. The United States of America should raise the minimum driving age in order to reduce teenage fatal motor vehicle accidents, decrease risky driving behaviors, and deter alcohol/drug impaired driving, thus saving many teenagers lives. By raising the minimum driving age in the United States of America the teenage motor vehicle accident rates would decrease.
Most teenagers think that being able to control the car while speeding means that they drive well. Increasing the driving age will significantly condense car accidents. While some people say teenagers can develop independence, the driving age should be raised to 21 because the level of obesity is high, teenagers are immature, and car accidents are increasing rapidly. Firstly, teenagers are the ones who are most likely to act in such reckless and
