My first reason on why gun control should be strict is because there are massive shooting going on around the world these days. Although some things should be changed such as more thorough background checks and limits on ammunition; not allowing American citizens to own guns just doesn’t make sense. The United States was founded on the idea that there should be a limit on the federal government’s power. Strict gun laws would not only infringe the second amendment but also make it easier for criminals to take advantage of law abiding citizens.
