We all want to live in a safe community so that we can live happily feeling secure. However, guns threaten our community because they are deadly. Did you know that guns kill approximately 120 people daily in North America alone? I think they should be illegal or restricted since they are dangerous and can end the life of a child; there would be less crimes without guns and less people would die; you can replace them with non-lethal weapons which increases safety. Guns are dangerous; a person with a gun is more likely to kill himself than a person who does not have one. On average, 62 children die each year because of unintentional shootings. For example, a three-year-old child in played with his uncle’s gun in his grandmother’s bedroom and accidentally shot himself. In contrast, the the murder rate involving guns in the US is one of the highest.
