Why should children of illegal immigrants be able to go to public schools? Children of illegal immigrants should be able to go to school because they shouldn't be punished for something they didn't choose. Many children of illegal immigrants are still successful in school, and some even make it to college. Children of illegal immigrants also work and study hard. All children should be allowed to have free public education. Children of illegal immigrants are entitled to public education for many reasons. First, most children of illegal immigrants work hard to do good in school. In school, most children of illegal immigrants are hard working because they want to make their parents proud. In the article, K-12 Educational Outcomes of Immigrant Youth, the authors Robert Crosnoe and Ruth N. Lopez Turley state, “many youths from immigrant families outperform their peers in school” (paragraph 2). This proves that most children from illegal parents do well or surpass others. Ultimately, children of illegal immigrants should go to school because they work hard and try their best. Additionally, children of illegal immigrants parents are bound to be successful. These kids deserve to have a fresh new start so they can become successful and having access to a public education would help. According to the article “Immigrants' access to education strengthens America, policymakers must protect it” (Suma setty June 15 2022) “Research shows that the presence of immigrant children in public schools benefits all students.” This shows that not only could it help make you more successful, it also benefits all the students that go to the school.
