Introduction:
Marijuana is a completely natural drug. Cannabis is generally grown in a large crop by a grower which can be outside or inside a “grow room” which is a room with a large lighting setup and generally a smell neutraliser as the cannabis lets out a strong scent. Cannabis (marijuana) is the oldest cultivated drug known to existence. Marijuana is used under multiple circumstances, whether the user is seeking a deep relaxation feeling or they are using it for medicinal purposes. Marijuana has been legalised for medicinal purposes in some states of America and there is currently a debate for it to be legalised in Australia.
Biological background:
Marijuana is an herbaceous plant. Marijuana’s biological name is “Cannabis”. It is a member of the Cannabis Sativa family. It is believed Cannabis Sativa originated in India, around the Himalayas. The Cannabis plant grows to around 8-12FT however there has been some reports of it growing well over 20FT. The Cannabis Sativa have flowers which blossom from late summer to early autumn when grown outdoors. There are 2 ways cannabis can be grown these are under natural light (outdoors) or hydroponically (under artificial lighting with chemicals added).

However these effects wouldn’t be negative as alcohol’s effects are. It would lower the crime rate dramatically as people won’t be illegally possessing marijuana as it would be legal. In US in 2012 48% of all drug arrests were for Marijuana possession. This statistic is only for possession! Not drug related violence.
