School officials, though, denied the request in December, 2015. (2) What law(s), policies, codes or regulation(s) are involved in this case? Think about which ones were broken. Prompting members to pass a policy that requires students to use school bathrooms corresponding with
Additionally, the Tinker v. Des Moines case stated, “...[i]t could not be justified by a showing that the students’ activities would materially and substantially disrupt the work and discipline of the school”(Tinker v. This just shows that it is very important that the court really emphasizes guaranteeing the absolute authority of the school officials, etc. so that there is some form of conduct in all
Is a complete ban on nuts the best way for schools to address peanut allergens? This article "Peanuts in Schools: Is a Ban Best?" written by Charles Burnside is about a boy named Nick Williams who is allergic to peanuts. His mom, Kathy Williams, thinks that the school that her child goes to should ban peanuts. Banning peanuts in schools would not be best way to go.
OUCH! I strongly disagree. Recently school principals banned dodge ball at schools in Elk ton, Maryland. They banned it because the teachers thought it was violent and inappropriate. The principals banned it by taking it off the curriculum.
I hope that before long schools will have this rule. It is scary to never know when you could be in serious
“The last time I was at Munchy’s, ALL the noise came from loud, annoying business people who were either on their cells or arguing with each other.” This quote proves that the students are not the only ones making the noise so they should not be the one to blame. The issue at hand affects all teenagersin school since the supposed banned is against all teenagers. Even though the ban was only brought up that one day all the noisy teens were there. Even though Munchy’s want to ban teenagers because they are loud, Munchy’s should not ban teenagers from going because business owners are equally loud, make more money during the fall, and it is a violation of their civil rights.
Many people enjoy their favorite drinks. Some people like lemonade, some people like milk, and some people like water. For many people, chewing gum helps them do better in school which is why it should be aloud. Dr.Kenneth Allen showed through his research that gum helps your memory which makes you do better on your tests. The reasoning for this is that chewing gum helps to release insulin into the bloodstream which affects how well your memory works. Since gum chewing helps you brain think better and gives you better memory, kids should be allowed to chew it during class. Emma Greene stated that mental tasks are done 20% better when they chewing gum.
Others teachers make their own rules. They allow gum chewing as long as it does not interfere with their ability to teach or students ' ability to concentrate. Critics say chewing gum should not be allowed in school, while other argue that it should be allowed in school. Schools should allow gum in school, as well as the classroom because it allows kids to concentrate. Schools should also allow gum in school because it also improves memory.
Banning football in High school, is that even a thought? Football is America’s pastime, why would someone want to take that away? Football should not be banned for High schools around the United States. For a lot of kids and really anyone football is a passion, not just a game that is being scored by running past a line.
Of course I will let my students participate in creating some rules that way they feel that they have voice in the process.

One reason why the zero tolerance rule should be eliminated from our school rules is because as kids we sometimes don’t make the best decisions because we don’t know what to do or how to act. In this case it shows that the zero tolerance doesn’t help people from making bad decisions it just makes it worst for school students.
Once she went on and on about a piece of gum advertisement for the whole class period. It had no relation to what we were doing at all. It makes me wonder if her teacher is gonna do something of the same
