Social Contract Expectations

188 Words1 Pages
I want my expectations and social contract to come mostly from me because I feel that it is my responsibility and duty to manage my classroom. As mentioned in the book social contacts “are explicit and implicit agreements made between individuals in any group to help clarify what they should expect from another”. Having clarification is key in a social contract in order to be functional. When everyone knows what are his or her responsibilities everything flows easier in the classroom. I feel that having the majority of rules and boundaries created by me will give more control allowing me to set the basic ground rules. Of course I will let my students participate in creating some rules that way they feel that they have voice in the process.
