No Homework What is the purpose of homework? Is it to enhance one’s learning and education, or is it an unnecessary evil? Students shouldn’t have homework. First and foremost, students who receive no homework detect an ascent in their grade. In addition, homework is the trigger of stressful situations in a student’s academic life. Thirdly, homework causes a student to be more pessimistic about school and grades. Students shouldn’t have homework for reasons that their grade can drop, it causes stress, and their attitude to school becomes negative.
First of all, students shouldn’t have homework since students can achieve superior grades. Quoting livescience.com, “ According to Richard Walker, an educational psychologist at Sydney University, data shows that in countries where more time is spent on homework, students score lower on a standardized test called the Program for International Student Assessment, or PISA. The same correlation is also seen when comparing homework time and test performance at schools within countries.” In line with livescience.com, this intelligence leads us to the observation that students who have homework to get worse grades compared to those who don’t. More than that, this statement also shows the indirect relationship between the time spent on homework and grades.
