Firstly, in the state of Texas, the legislative branch has the ability to pass and create laws within the state while overseeing and monitoring the execution of these laws. The Texas legislature is among the few state legislatures that meets strictly every two years. Many people consider this branch to be the most powerful of state government in Texas due to its ability to aggressively control activities of the state government. The structure within the legislation is known as the bicameral system. This means there are two sub-branches that make up the legislation known as the State Senate as well as the House of Representatives.

This is seen in document 3, it demonstrates checks and balances. The legislative lions and Executive Eagles show how the
The legislative branch creates laws for the United States citizens to follow. The legislative branch has bicameral structure with the branch being made of the Senate and the House of Representatives. This branch is known as the people's branch due to the fact that the citizens of the U.S. elect each branch member. The members of each branch has a different term limit, the House of Representatives have a two year term limit and the Senate has a longer term of six years. The use of these powers determine if the president is going beyond the limits of the office. Many argue that the president has abused these powers with the use of the Unitary Executive Theory, which states that the Constitution puts the president in charge of executing the laws, and that nobody can limit the president’s power when it comes to executive powers. It therefore tips authority from Congress to the presidency, upsetting the power of checks and balances.
The legislative branch is there to make sure that the executive branch, which is made up of the president, vice president, and the cabinet, are keeping the best interest of the United States as a whole instead of focusing their decisions based on a more personal level. As you continue to read through Articles 4, 5, and 6 of the US constitution, the idea of federalism is brought into play. This is the idea of that the state is given more power than the federal government but not all the power. This is an original design that our current government has kept in
The powers of the president aren’t very strict because the other branches watch to see what they are doing. The powers included: making laws, signing treaties, appointing judges, filling up vacancies, appointing Ambassadors, and granting reprieves and pardons. Some presidents used the powers well, while others did not. The one president that used them the greatest was Washington, the greatest, and the first. He wielded the powers to impact the growing United States most effectively by signing treaties to enemies, passing acts, and trying out the National Bank.
The President is the nation’s commander in chief and deals with the nation’s domestic and foreign policies, by proposing legislation and enacting executive orders. The President is in charge of the armed forces. With all these powers it may seem that the President of the United States can easily become a dictator or tyrant. This is not true, as the American Constitution provides a “separation of powers” among the three branches of government to avoid any such situation. These branches of government include the judicial, legislative and executive.
Each branch held a different duty and responsibility. The legislative branch includes both houses of Congress: the Senate and the House of Representatives and its job is to create laws. The laws then passed to the Executive branch which headed by the president where they are approved or rejected. In recent years there has been debate on whether or not the president has too much power. The president 's power has increased over the years, I believe that this increase has given the president way too much power. The amount of power that the president has, can cause total destruction and can manipulate people into doing things that they do not actually believe in. A president should not have some of the powers that he possess, but they are given to him simply because he is the leader of the country. In my opinion the president should be allowed certain powers in order to run the country properly, he is also the leader of the country which grants him the right to have certain powers according to the constitution.

The history of my passion, teaching has not always been my first choice.
