Should Videogames Be Censored

Have you ever thought about why videogames are, or should be censored? Just imagine a world where everything is censored then kids become curious and they stay curious till they find out what it is that is censored. So it creates a world where young people are exposed to explicit ideas in which they shouldn’t be. Censoring is good because it stops young people from seeing the explicit content. It keeps them from having that stuff put in their head at such a young age. It also helps parents who don’t want their children playing mature games that aren’t meant for their age. Through personal experience when I am selling videogames to parents who either don’t know what their children like or what the games contain, so while I help I am always told, “No, I don’t want them playing those types of games.” Therefore the increasing amount of censoring of videogames in America has become necessary because minors play videogames that are too mature for them.

Eventually the children get exposed to such content and start to learn about things like language, and drugs, or even sex. At such a young age they shouldn’t know what these things are but that is what these videogames are exposing them to. There are children who watch their older siblings play those types of games and get exposed to the sexual and explicit content and it may be too much for them to handle at such a young age.
