The first prophecy of Macbeth was fulfilled. Macbeth was Thane of Glamis, Cawdor, and had became king. After being named King Macbeth and dealing with nature consequences, Macbeth went back to the witches to tell them the prophecies had came true. In Act 4 scene 1, the next set of prophecies are mention after he is king, “... beware Macduff, … For none of woman born shall harm Macbeth, … Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill Shall come against him” (71-94). The knowing of the prophecies, implying that Macbeth questioned the second prophecy. “What’s he/ that was not born/ Shall harm Macbeth” (Bloom).
